Hello my name is Danyel Branch, and I am apart of the marketing team. My teammates and I had to find out how much would it cost to build a enviromentally friendly roller coaster. We also had to find out the price of fuel being as though were building a enviromental friendly roller coaster. My team and I contacted Six Flags, and they gave us very helpful information. Thanks alot Six Flags.
Once we decided to do our project on "the roller coaster of the future",we got split up into three groups the three groups are: Research,Marketing, and Design. Soon as we split up into our groups the Marketing team got right to work. We gave a survey to the whole school to come up with a name, and at the end of it all we decided on the "Optimus Prime". We worked very hard as a team, we each had different jobs to do that involved contacting amusement parks.
Roller coasters of the future will be enviromentally friendlier. To be "enviromental friendly" a product must make a minimal impact on the enviroment. The effects of a non-enviromental friendly roller coaster is that the steel can get rusty and when that happens the roller coaster can't function, or the wood can began to weaken due to all the bad weather and the roller coaster being desgined incorrectly. Its beginning to get very dangerous desigining a roller coaster made of non-enviromental friendly roller coaster, many accidents have occured due to this.
The benefits of an enviromentally friendly roller coaster is that many people with heart problems or something of that sort can get on the roller coaster. There will be a decrease in the roller coaster accidents due to better designs . I would take a educated guess and predict that it would cost 15% more to build a enviromentally friendly roller coaster than a regular roller coaster made of steel or wood, or anything else. The roller coaster of the future will be a great contribution to the nature and also to the people who dont get on roller coasters because of the "ingredients". This roller coaster is for them. I think that the environmentally friendly fuel will be cheaper. There are other alternatives such as hydraulic pressure, solar panels, and many others.
In conclusion, our roller coaster will be a great hit for the "future". An enviromentally friendly roller coaster will be alot safer than your average roller coaster. It may be a little more pricer than a normal roller coaster, but its worth it. We've worked really hard, and all our hard work has paid off, even though we have a little bit more work to do.
